Brasstown Bell Newsletter – June 2025

Summer will soon be upon us with all those fun outdoor activities. It is also the month of our Second scheduled Concert. This month, on Saturday, June 7th we will once again be entertained by the Gladson Family Band. They are a talented family who are always a joy to hear. Once again doors open at 6 pm and the concert commences at 7 pm. The kitchen opens at 6 pm in the event you want to grab a quick dinner and of course some cobbler and ice cream. Admission is ten dollars. Children under 12 are free. Tickets will also be available for our beautiful quilts. This year there are two beautiful quilts that will go to the winning ticket. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.

We have been very fortunate to have new community volunteers who will be assisting our kitchen crew. Thank you Karen Sullivan and Karen Ruggiero. We sincerely appreciate your help. Those extra sets of hands help take the stress off of the kitchen staff and helps make the tasks fun. We are so happy to have you!

Don’t forget about our monthly pot lucks hosted at our center on the third Tuesday of the month, June 17th. Pack up your family and your favorite side dish or dessert to share with the community.

Our May Pot Luck was attended by about fifty community members. While the food is usually always good, it was “especially” good this month. We had some wonderful fresh salads served and some different and delicious casseroles. It was good to see everyone. It was an especially pleasant evening. One of our attendees reminded us of the Brasstown Farmer’s Market held on Wednesdays from 9-1. That market is really growing and offers a wide variety of items to the public.

Our Pantry continues to operate every other Thursday from 11:30-1:00 pm. Matt’s Ministry and the Clay County Food Pantry supplies the food on alternating Thursdays. These pantries continue to be well attended May 1st we had 53 people attend and they selected food for 127 family members. On May 15th 60 people attended and selected food for 126 family members On May 29th we had 49 people attend and they selected food for 114 family members. Anyone who is experiencing food insecurity is encouraged to attend. If you are unable to attend our pantries, be aware that The Clay County Food Pantry is opened on Fridays from 9 am until 12 pm. Matt’s Ministry is opened on Saturdays from 9:30 until 12:00 pm.

Our Community Food Bank will be open on June 12th and June 26th. Once again Mrs Perrell from the Clay and Macon Counties Co-Operative Extension Services will be with us. She supplies us with a delicious and healthy recipe made from food we will have available to us on June 12th that we can taste test. Additionally she is always kind enough to share copies of her recipes with all who attend. Looking forward to seeing you at these pantries.

We have been so blessed at these pantries to have community volunteers who come week after week. Everyone pitches in to get the pantry set up after the food is delivered by Manna. They are warm caring folks who make our shoppers feel welcome. Its so nice to see their smiling faces. Without their help these pantries wouldn’t happen.

I’m not sure if everyone is aware that our community center and school house building are available for the community to rent for special occasions. Our School House Building rents for $50.00. Our Gymnasium including our kitchen ,if you need it, is available for $80.00 for community members. If someone wants to rent it for a commercial event the cost is $140.00. Our kitchen is also available for rentals. There is a four hour minimum rental of $25.00, and a $5.00 an hour charge for use over the four hours. If anyone is interested in renting our facility, please call Mrs. Pam Cray at (828)361-3040. The money received from these rentals goes to the costs of running and maintaining our Community Center.

Your Executive Board is continuing to work on the purchase of new front doors. The contractor has been generous enough to offer the doors at his cost. It is however believed that even with this kind gesture the doors will be expensive but are certainly needed.

Wishing all our Dad’s, Grand Dads, and Great Grand Dad’s a very Happy Father’s Day!

Your Crier,
Linda Snyder

Brasstown Bell Newsletter – May 2025

May is always a busy month. We have several students in our area graduating from High School and College. Congratulations to each of them on their accomplishments.  We also will be celebrating Mother’s Day. I hope all the moms and grandmoms out there enjoy their special day and we thank them for all they do. Mother’s day was always a special day. As a household gardener, Mother’s Day always marked the day it was safe to plant our annuals. You could pretty much be sure the threat of frost had passed.

May also marks the beginning of our Summer concerts. This year we will only be having one concert each month. Below are the dates of this year’s concert series:

May 10        Jimmy Wilson Carolina Blue Grass Boys
June 7         Gladson Family Band
July 19        Reedy River String Band
August 16   Asheville Mountain Boys

The doors will open at 6 pm and the concerts will commence at 7 pm. Food will be available at our kitchen at 6 pm.

You will also be able to see our TWO beautiful quilts being raffled off as well as being able to purchase tickets. They are $1 each or 6 for $5.

Our Food Pantries continue to be well attended. On the average 50-60 people attend each pantry and they select food for about 150 family members. We are very fortunate to have both Matt’s Ministry and the Clay County Food Pantry partner with us and provide food for us to distribute. We are also fortunate to have so many community members volunteer their time and service to this endeavor. We average 15 volunteers at each pantry. When the food arrives on pallets, we all scurry around placing the food on tables where they belong. This is a busy time for all the volunteers. We open the doors from 11:30-1:00 pm. This is the fun time when we get to welcome our shoppers and assist them in any way we can. At 1:00 pm we once again scurry around repackaging the left overs and packing them up in a truck to return to whatever group is sponsoring our pantry for the day. We also have folks breaking down boxes and loading them into a volunteer’s truck who is kind enough to take them to be recycled at our dump. It is refreshing to see our community come together in such a way.

We have three pantries scheduled for  May 1, May 15, and May 29th.

Ms. Terrell from the Clay County Extension will be attending our May 1st pantry. She is kind enough to prepare a healthy dish made from the ingredients we will have available at that pantry. Everyone is welcome to taste test her dish. In addition, Ms Terrell provides a recipe for the dish she prepares. Shoppers will be able to select all the ingredients needed for her recipe at our Food Pantry.

Once again anyone who is experiencing food insecurity is welcome to attend our pantry.

Our next Potluck is scheduled for May 20th at 6:00 pm. Pack up your family and your favorite dish or dessert to share with those attending. This is always a nice time to chat with your neighbors and enjoy a good meal!

Your Board is busy at work. Currently we are working on measuring and pricing replacement doors for the front entry of our building. Now that the warm weather is upon us, I hope some of you are enjoying our jungle gym with your children and grandchildren at the rear of our building.

Your Crier,
Linda Snyder

Brasstown Bell Newsletter – April 2025

Well here we are again experiencing Spring in our Neighborhood. It always seems to me that Spring triggers a sense of renewal and beauty. I can think of no more beautiful place to experience Spring than where we are, Brasstown, NC!

It’s also the time of the year that Mrs. Elizabeth Love from the Master Gardeners appears at our center. She has been busy thinning out our Irises, Day lilies and Shasta daisies. That is no easy job. She has also added some new plants to our gardens. Unless you garden, it is hard to appreciate the amount of work involved to make our center look as beautiful as it does. It just doesn’t happen, but is the result of her hard work.

We had our Annual “Poor Man’s Dinner” on March 30th. It was extremely well attended. We had several new volunteers in the kitchen which was so helpful and appreciated. What is that expression? “Many hands make light work?”

We were also entertained by music provided by two community members, Larry Shoeman and Sal Ruggiero. That added an extra pleasant touch to the event. They not only volunteered their talent but also donated their tips to the community center.

The community members donated pinto beans, corn bread, and a variety of desserts. Several people commented on how good the beans were. Some guests questioned who made them. We were unable to tell them because we mixed all the beans made by community members, so they truly were the Brasstown Community’s beans. (So fitting for the event!)

Our monthly Pot Luck will be April 15th. With no more concern about snow or icy roads, this is the perfect time to “try out” one of our Community Pot Lucks if you have never been. The dinners start at 6:00 pm. We ask each family to make one of your family favorite dishes or dessert to share with the community.

Our Community Food Banks are scheduled for April 3rd (sponsored by Matt’s Ministry) and April 17th (sponsored by Clay County Food Pantry). The hours are from 11:30-1:00pm. Anyone experiencing food insecurity is encouraged to attend. With food prices so high in the grocery stores , we are blessed that these two organizations provide us with supplemental food. We are very grateful to them and all the community members who volunteer to help out at our pantries. While we have wonderful folks who volunteer at our food pantries, we also have other community members who volunteer their help in other ways. We have some folks who religiously save their grocery bags for us, which we very much appreciate. Its amazing how many plastic bags we go through at each pantry and they become an added expense. We have also had students at Young Harris College purchase and donate bags of groceries. Whatever way you chose to help out, know we appreciate you!

Last month we were fortunate enough to have Ms. Kim Terrell from Clay and Macon Counties Extension Service join us at our first pantry of the month. She prepared a delicious vegetable dish made from the food we had at our pantry. She was also gracious enough to provide every one present with a sample of this dish as well as providing us with a copy of the recipe so it could be made at home. Ms Terrell will be visiting us bi monthly and will provide us with a healthy recipe as well as having a sample of it for us to taste.

She will be with us again on May 1st. Looking forward to what she will prepare for us that day.

Can you believe our Summer Concerts will begin next month? We will have a series of four concerts this season. We will have one in May, June, July and August. The projected dates for concerts are as follows:

May 10th
June 7th
July 19th
August 16th

Enjoy this wonderful Spring season in Brasstown, NC in the good old USA! Also wishing you all a Happy Easter and a peaceful and happy Passover!

Your Crier,
Linda Snyder

Brasstown Bell Newsletter – March 2025

March, the month of renewal. Those cheery daffodils make us so hopeful that Spring is around the corner. We had some very chilly days this past winter season, but somehow there is just hope of renewal as the days warm up and there are more signs of the impending spring!

We are excited to inform you of our upcoming event on Sunday, March 30th, 2025, the Brasstown Community Center will be hosting its “Poor Man’s Dinner”! The dinner will run from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. We will be serving potatoes, pinto beans, cole slaw, corn bread, and dessert. The cost will be $5.00 per person. You can either eat here with us or take a to go plate. This year we will be having something new, music will be provided by Larry Shoeman and his Brasstown Balladiers. This will be an extra special treat. Come and join your neighbors and have some good ole food and friendship. Hope to see you all there. If anyone is interested in helping out in any way, please let me know. This is usually a well attended event.

The Board is busy planning projects to be done at our community center. Our front doors are in need of replacement. We are currently looking into the cost for new doors and the installation fee. We are also in need of an additional storage building. The committee is looking into the cost involved in building one. Once we get the prices for these improvements we will look into applying for a grant and see what might be available for us.

Our Brasstown Food Pantry continues to go well. We usually service between 50-70 individuals, who select food for between 150-190 family members. We continue to get excellent support from our community. We have some really wonderful volunteers who help to have the event move along smoothly. Once again anyone from Clay or Cherokee County who is experiencing food insecurity and is in need of some supplemental food is welcomed to attend. We are most appreciative to Matt’s Ministry and the Clay County Food Pantry for their generous support.

With Manna’s warehouse being destroyed by the flood as a result of the hurricane, they have had to move to a new location. Unfortunately, they have moved a little further away from us and the truck is arriving a little later than it used to. Therefore our hours have changed. The Pantry hours of operation are from 11:30 am- 1:00pm. Hope to see you there. If you can not make it to our Pantry, be aware that The Clay County Food Pantry(2278 Hinton Center Road, Hayesville) is in operation on Friday from 9:00-12:00, and Matt’s Ministry (123 Cabe Rd., Hayesville) is operational on Saturdays between 9:30-12:00. Both of their missions are the same as ours and that is to provide supplemental food to those who need it.

We ran into a slight delay of our pantry on February 20th. The weather was icy in Asheville and so they informed us there would be a two hour delay in the arrival of our truck. If the weather looks somewhat iffy on a day the pantry is scheduled, please tune into WKRK radio. I will ask Donna Lynn to share information about any delays. I will also post it on the Brasstown NC Community Facebook page. Kindly check one of those places if you have any concern about the weather and its effect on our pantry.

While Manna delivers most of our food, Mr. Mike Smith used to go to Cummings, GA to pick up bread and baked goods for our Food Pantry. In fact he would drive into Cummings, GA five to six times a week to pick up bread for several other food pantries in our area. I regret to share that Mr. Smith suffered a mild stroke and was in a local hospital. Needless to say he will no longer be picking up bread for us. Mr Sullivan from the Clay County Food Pantry is trying to find volunteers who will go to Cummings and pick up bread for their pantry and ours on Wednesdays so we will have it on Thursday. We all wish Mr. Smith well and will always remain thankful for his kindness in providing bread for our pantries.

Our Pantries in March are scheduled for March 6th sponsored by Matt’s Ministry, and March 20th sponsored by Clay County Food Pantry. We will have a special guest with us at the first pantry in March. Ms. Kim Terrell from the Clay and Macon Co-Operative Extension Services, will prepare a meal from the foods that will be delivered to our pantry. Shoppers will be able to sample the dish. Ms. Terrell will have a recipe for those interested in duplicating her meal as well as some healthy tips for all of us. She will come every other month to our pantries and give us meal ideas and healthy tips!

Don’t forget if you need supplemental food between our scheduled pantries you are welcome to go to Clay County Food Pantry on Friday and Matt’s Ministry on Saturday. (See time above)

Just a little reminder, with the warmer weather coming our way, don’t forget to have your children or grandchildren come out to our new playground and try it out. Its located directly behind our Center. It was purchased and put in place by grants provided by Grannie’s Attic and Walmart.

Also don’t forget our Pot Luck Dinner (its always the third Tuesday of the month), March 18th at 6 pm. Pack up your family and a favorite dish or dessert and come join your neighbors for good food and a fun time.

For our auto racing enthusiasts, the Tri County Racetrack will be reopening. The first race is scheduled for March 22nd. For further information, check out their Facebook page, “Tri County Racetrack”.

Remember Daylight savings time begins on Sunday, March 9th. Set those clocks ahead one hour. Spring forward, Fall back.

While it always so nice to be in this area, the Spring is such a special and beautiful time here. Enjoy! Keep an eye on our center. The Master Gardeners (Elizabeth Love and helpers), keep us so beautifully surrounded with plants and flowers. There is always something beautiful blooming here!

I’d like to welcome a number of folks who were recently added to our list of those receiving our newsletter. I hope you will find this informative. Hope you will join us at our community dinners so we can meet in person.

Your Crier,
Linda Snyder Gibson

Brasstown Bell Newsletter – Feb 2025

Happy February All,

Hope you are all doing okay with the cold and snow of late! I did see some hope. The day-lilies in front of our Community Center are beginning to break through the ground.

I’d like to introduce you to our 2025 slate of Executive Board Members:

President: Hoyt Zimmerman
Vice President: Carolyn Anderson
Treasurer: Pam Cray
Secretary: Linda Snyder
Member At Large: Kellsie Patten
Administrator: Clay Logan

We have been busy planning events for our center. There will be more about that as the time approaches. I would like you to mark your calendars for our Poor Man’s Dinner. That is scheduled for March 30th. I’ll have more to share about that in our next newsletter.

Our next Potluck is scheduled for Tuesday, February 18th at 6 pm, weather permitting. If it should have to be canceled, I will be sure to let you know on the Brasstown North Carolina Community Facebook site. Hopefully we will be able to get out and enjoy each other’s company. Please gather up your family and your favorite dish and join us at the Brasstown Community Center.

Our Brasstown Community Food Pantry is continuing to be well attended and Manna has been supplying us with large supplies of food and assorted dry good. We are so fortunate to have the support of Matt’s Ministry and the Clay County Food Pantry who are partnering with us! We certainly appreicate their generous support. I continue to be grateful beyond measure to our many volunteers. Some volunteers show up to every pantry ready to arrange food and greet our shoppers. If you are experiencing food insecurity, please plan to join us. This month our pantries are scheduled on Thursday, February 6th and February 20th.

A couple of months ago we had to change our hours of operation. Because the Manna warehouse was destroyed by Hurricane Helene, they were forced to find another warehouse. Unfortunately for us the warehouse is further from us. As a result the truck is getting to us later than it used to. For that reason we now open at 11:30 – 1:00.

I am excited to announce that we have a beautiful new playground set put together and ready to be enjoyed by our little ones. Stop by and see it on a nice day. It is behind our building. It was purchased and installed by grants from Walmart and Grannie’s Attic. We appreciate their generosity. We also appreciate the Executive Board Members who worked hard on this project.

We have also been able to acquire an updated sound system for our gymnasium. We are planning several other upgrades for our building. We will have to apply for grants from some generous organizations. I’ll share more about these projects as they become forthcoming.

While we all miss Charlie Allison, we have a new custodian at our center. George Ervey has joined us. As a result, the gymnasium will be open from 8am-12pm daily when it is not rented. Welcome George!!

Wishing you all a very Happy Valentine’s Day!

Your Brasstown Crier,
Linda Snyder Gibson

Brasstown Bell Newsletter – November 2024

Thanksgiving Potluck
Here we are headed into our Holiday Season! This will be our last newsletter of the year. Of course we plan to have our Thanksgiving Community Dinner here on November 19th at Six PM. Once again our Center will be providing the turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls and ham. Community Members are asked to bring the sides and desserts. This is usually our most attended event of the year. We hope to see everyone there. There will also be a brief annual business meeting.

Due to the all the personal commitments we have during this Holiday Season, we will have no Community Dinner in December. Enjoy your family and we will see you at our January 2025 Community Dinner on January 21, 2025 at Six PM.  Wishing each of you a most blessed Holiday Season and the happiest and healthiest of New Years!!

Food Pantries
We are pleased to inform you that we will once again be having a Food Pantry at our Community Center. Manna’s headquarter in Asheville was destroyed by Hurricane Helene. As a result of that our earlier Food Pantries of the month had to be canceled. Manna has a new facility and they are up and running. Our October pantry was held on Thursday, October 31st from 11Am-1PM. We had an abundance of food provided by Matt’s Ministry. We had 38 people attend and they selected food for 92 family members.

Our next Food Pantry hosted by Clay County Food Pantry is scheduled for Thursday November 14th from 11am-1pm. The second one of the month was on Thanksgiving Day. Matt’s Ministry, who will be hosting it, has been able to make arrangements that it be held one day earlier. It will be held on WEDNESDAY, November 27th from 11am-1pm,

In Memoriam
It is with a heavy heart that I share with you the passing of our custodian at the Brasstown Community Center. Charles “Charlie” Anthony Allison passed away on October 24th. As a result of his passing please note that the Community Center will remain closed. Due to issues we were experiencing at the center, it was only opened to the public from 8am-12 pm, when our Custodian was present. It will now remain closed until further notice. This in no way interferes with rentals. They will be conducted just as they had been in the past.

Hurricane Helene Victims
As we celebrate this season, please remember all the victims of Hurricane Helene. There are so many people in Western North Carolina who will be celebrating this Thanksgiving without their homes. I am grateful for all the people who have generously offered their assistance to these people who have lost so much. Please keep them in your prayers. Their lives have changed so drastically as a result of this storm.

May your holiday season be truly blessed!

Your Crier,
Linda Snyder

Brasstown Bell Newsletter – October 2024

HAPPY FALL YA’LL!!

This is such a beautiful time here in the mountains and there is much happening about us. Hope you all get to enjoy the various festivities and events of this time of the year. The Fall Festival will be taking place on October 5th and 6th at the Folk School. The Pumpkin Chunkin sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce will be held the weekend of October 19th and 20th at 811 Settawig Road in Brasstown. Of course later in the month we will be having all those ghosts and ghouls visiting our homes!

Monthly Community Dinner

Our September Community Dinner was very well attended. We had over 60 folks joining us for dinner. The Folk School had a raffle to win two tickets for free admission to their Fall Festival, which were won by Alice Patterson. It was a most pleasant evening. My only complaint is that it seems to end too quickly.

This month our community dinner will be held on October 17th at 6:00 pm. Please pack up your family and your favorite dish or dessert and join us for a time of visiting and eating. Its always nice to see our friends and neighbors and enjoy the good food. Its at times like this that community means so very much to us!

Next month in lieu of our regular monthly community dinner, we will be having our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner,  November 19th, at 6:00 pm. The Community Center will supply the turkey, stuffing, gravy, ham and we are asking the community members to bring your favorite Thanksgiving sides or desserts. This event is usually well attended. Looking forward to this special dinner!!

In addition to all the food, we will also be holding our annual business meeting and will elect a slate of officers for the upcoming 2025 year. In addition we will select a winning ticket for this years beautiful quilt. (You do not have to be present to win). We hope to see you all there for a scrumptious dinner and pleasant evening visiting with your neighbors. As a group of people we have so very much to be thankful for!

Due to the vigor’s of the Holiday Season we will have no community dinner in December. Folks are usually very busy with their own Christmas Holiday!

Food Pantry

Our September Pantries were well attended. On September 5, 2024 we had our first monthly Pantry hosted by Matt’s Ministry. We had some 51 community members attend and they selected food for 120 family members. The following community members volunteered to assist in the pantry: Charlotte Majercik, Gary Majercik, Paulette Tonielli, Hoyt Zimmerman, Larry Shoeman, Maggie Butler, Bill Gibson, and Linda Snyder.

Our second one was held on September 19th and was hosted by the Clay County Food Pantry. This one was also very well attended. We had 48 people attend and they selected food for 104 family members. We had such a large and varied supply of food. Our new hours of operation worked out very well. Once again we had a great group of volunteers who made our pantry run like a well oiled machine. Thank you Barbara Harrington, Charlotte Majercik, Gary Majercik, Carolyn Anderson, Paulette Tonielli, Larry Shoeman, Mary Shelton, Sheila Crawford, Bill Gibson, Charlie Allison, Hoyt Zimmerman, and Linda Snyder.

Due to the recent hurricane, Manna’s warehouse in Asheville has been destroyed. Our Brasstown Food Pantries will be canceled until further notice.  In the meantime, those needing supplemental food are encouraged to go to the Clay County Food Pantry on Friday mornings or Matt’s Ministry on Saturday mornings.

Our Community has really been blessed beyond measure with Helena heading eastward. While we are well here, there are a number of sister communities which have been devastated. Please remember these people prayerfully and if you can help send needed items their way it would be most appreciated. Many churches and benevolent groups are collecting food in our area. If you aren’t aware of drop off locations, Little Brasstown Church is accepting donations to help these people in need.

Important Dates to Remember

Food Pantries: Information regarding these will be shared as received

October Community Dinner, October 15th 6:00 pm

Thanksgiving Community Dinner and Business Meeting, November 19th 6:00pm

Brasstown Bell Newsletter – September 2024

The nights are getting cooler with a hint of Fall in the air. Our children and grandchildren are headed back to school. Wishing everyone a most successful school year.

2024 Summer Concerts are over

We have recently concluded another year of our Summer Concert Series. It was a successful season which most community members who attended seemed to enjoy. On behalf of the Brasstown Community Center, I wish to thank all the individuals who volunteered to work in the kitchen preparing and selling food. We also appreciate those who volunteered to sell tickets to the concert and those who sold tickets for our quilt.

If you haven’t purchased your quilt tickets, they are available at Olive’s Porch in Murphy, The tickets cost $1.00 each or you can purchase 6 tickets for $5.00. It is a queen size quilt this year. The sale of these tickets is one of our primary sources of raising money to keep our center operational. The winner of this year’s quilt will be selected at our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner. You do not have to be present to win!

Pot Luck Dinner

Our August Pot Luck was well attended. We had over forty people in attendance. Food was tasty and delicious as always.

Our next pot luck is planned for September 17th at 6:00 pm (It is always held on the third Tuesday of the Month).  With school back in session and summer vacations over, we hope to see more community members attend our fall dinners. Pack up your family and your favorite side dish and join us for a delicious dinner together and a chance to visit with your neighbors!

Food Pantries

The food pantries continue to be well attended. Our August 8th Pantry hosted by Matt’s Ministry had 43 individuals attend. They selected food for 103 family members. The community showed up again to support this pantry. A special thanks to Bill Gibson, Charlotte Majercik, Gary Majercik, Hoyt Zimmerman, Carolyn Anderson, Sharon Hayden, Barbara Ciase, Robin Alessi, Maggie Butler, Larry Shoeman, Paulette Tonielli, and Joan Beccard who freely gave of their time to help this pantry run smoothly.

On August 22nd, the Clay County Food pantry hosted our second pantry of the month. Once again 42 individuals attended and selected food for 103 family members. The following individuals volunteered their time to help run the pantry: Charlotte Majercik, Gary Majercik, Carolyn Anderson, Barbara Harrington, Bill Gibson, Faith Snyder, Mike and Bonnie Franklin, Pat Raleigh, Barbara Ciase, and Susan Warner all participated.

Having so many kind volunteers really helps run the program smoothly and makes working the pantry a most enjoyable time for all. I so appreciate all the folks who help make this program the success it has become.

We will begin our second year of operating this program in September. I so appreciate Matt’s Ministry and the Clay County Food Pantry who have generously provided our community with Supplemental Food, I also sincerely appreciate all the community members who have volunteered and worked to make this program the success it has been.

Our September Pantries will be held from 11am-1pm on September 5th and September 19th. Please mark your calendars! Anyone experiencing food insecurity is encouraged to attend. We look forward to seeing you then. If you are aware of anyone who might benefit from this program, please let them know about our pantry and share the dates with them.

Enjoy the beauty of this area of the country as we move into the Fall of the Year!

Your Crier,
Linda Snyder
