Hello Friends of the Brasstown Community Center,
Election Day: Reminder to vote on November 6 if you have not already done so in Early Voting.
It’s that time of year again and the Brasstown Community Center Thanksgiving/Christmas potluck is something that shouldn’t be missed! It will be held Tuesday, November 13th, at 6:00 pm (the week before the official holidayl so we don’t have to eat TWO Thanksgiving dinners in the same week). The Community Center will provide the turkey and all the trimmings, mashed potatoes and rolls. Please bring your best vegetable, casserole, salad or desert dish to share.
Many volunteers will be needed throughout the day to help with preparations; decorating, peeling potatoes, carving turkey, etc. so if you can help please just come during the day and lend a hand. Bring family, friends, neighbors and come out to share food and fellowship.
Raffle tickets for the beautiful quilt donated by Deanna Skubal will be for sale right up to the night of the Thanksgiving/Christmas potluck; $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. The quilt will be raffled after our Thanksgiving supper. A meeting will be held after the supper to elect new officers.
Please note that there is no Potluck in the month of December.
THANK YOU! Many, many THANKS to The Brasstown Community Center and individuals at last month’s potluck who donated funds for victims of Hurricane Michael in North Florida. Ken and Virginia Miller delivered a van load of supplies from Clay County, N.C. to the Distribution Center in Blountstown, Florida on October 17th. Multiple small towns far inland have been virtually destroyed by the 130 MPH winds which lasted for hours.
