It’s finally happening – after a dismal, rainy winter, we have finally started breaking ground where the two new buildings will be located.
Right now, this is the main reason we are raising funds.
The new facilities will allow us to create classrooms, separate from the main building, in smaller, more personal spaces.
This is the first step in a long process, but we are really excited about seeing progress!
Started working on the foundation and preparing the walls forms at the end of August/early September.
Walls are up!
Not sure when the rest of the building went up, but we now have a recognizable structure in place as of July 2017. Congratulations!
The outside of the new building is complete as of August 2017 and it’s really starting to look like it belongs there now. The inside framing and insulation is in place and work in ongoing to finish the inside of the building.
As of the end of August 2017, the work is about 75% complete. We still need to raise another $15,000 to do the finishing work; sheet rock, LED lighting and electrical work, plumbing, etc. All donations will be greatly appreciated!
After the Poor Man’s LunchFundraiser held in February of 2018 raised approximately $1,700 from lunches and donations which allowed us to complete the wiring of the building. Power should be turned on next week! A huge thanks to Kathy Teems and all of the volunteers who prepared food for the fundraiser, and to all of the attendees who helped make it a big success. Also a big thanks to the Liden Family, the Pressley Sisters, and Ken and Virginia Miller for providing live music during the event.
We still need to purchase and install inside doors, sinks, cabinets and furnish the two classrooms. Hopefully we will be able to complete this project this year so we can better serve our community!
